Have you thought about trying Myofascial Release but aren't 100% positive on what it is?

Kierra Bertrand, Licensed Massage Therapist, offers Myofascial Release in both a 60 minute and 90 minute session.
Myofascial Release is an amazingly beneficial massage that most people are unaware of!

What is Myofascial Release?

Myofascial release is a manipulative treatment that attempts to release tension in the fascia due to trauma, posture, or inflammation. Connective tissues called fascia surround the muscles, bones, nerves, and organs of the body. Points of restriction in the fascia can place a great deal of pressure on nerves and muscles causing chronic pain.
Practitioners of myofascial release employ long stretching strokes meant to balance tissue and muscle mechanics and improve joint range of motion in order to relieve pain.

Who benefits from MFR?

The truth is, just about everyone would benefit from myofascial release.  Keeping our fascial fabric healthy and fit is critical to our bodies performance, and our sense of wellbeing.    That being said, most people wouldn’t know this until their fascial fabric has become so bound up that they have a problem.  Like pain, that is diagnosed as sciatica, carpel tunnel syndrome or spinal stenosis. Or dysfunction that is diagnosed as fibromyalgia, scoliosis, or endometriosis.  The list goes on.  If you have a problem and would like to find out if myofascial release could benefit you, contact us.
We have worked with many diagnoses, some of them are:
  • back pain or neck pain for many reasons ie. spinal stenosis, herniated disc, spondylosis, arthritis, scoliosis
  • shoulder and elbow pain due to frozen shoulder, tendonitis, repetitive strain injuries
  • carpal tunnel syndrome
  • hip and lower extremity pain due to sciatica, plantar fascitis, or arthritis
  • knee pain
  • fibromyalgia
  • multiple sclerosis
  • neurological conditions ie. CVA, parkinsons, head injuries
  • myofascial pain syndrome
  • sensory processing disorders
  • erbs palsy
  • autism
This is not a complete list, please inquire if you have a condition you'd like to know if we can work with.

Women had been leading the way towards greatness. It had been like that since the beginning of time. The absence of a woman in a household can lead to chaos. Should this happen, one must assume the role of a woman for an organization to survive. It sounds like a disgrace for the chosen one. Yet the candidate for success in every angle is always the one who assumes the unrecognized but most powerful role. Whoever is in direct contact with the next in line chain of commands which will be coming from the new generation, is always winning. Mothers are queens. They can't get any lower than that or else the whole group will fail.

Going to the spa is not something that I do. Well, I have a lot of work to do, so I really do not have the time for it. Whenever I am free, I just try to sleep all day. If you ask me, sleeping is better than going to the spa, well, that is what I used to think. Today, I started to go to the spa, and my God, was it amazing. I want to go to spas more frequently now.
